CAMHAYLE Theatre Club is on the road again. North Cornwall’s award-winning theatre group is coming to a village hall near you later this summer.
Rehearsals have been on-going for several weeks with the aim to present not just one, but two short plays on the same night, either side of refreshments.
After the success last year of Camhayle’s touring production of ‘East of the Sun’ the group is making a welcome return to several local villages. Further information on this comedy double bill will be released in next month’s issue of the North Cornwall Advertiser.
Camhayle is celebrating its 40th anniversary since its conception in 1977. In recent years, productions have also been presented to packed houses at the Wadebridge Town Hall and have included A Month of Sundays, Don’t Dress For Dinner, Calender Girls, and the moving World War 1 drama, Journey’s End, which received several nominations and two awards from the Cornwall Drama Association.
So, keep an eye out for further news on Camhayle’s upcoming production. Venues are presently being confirmed and titles and author will be revealed in August.
