DIANE Bosley of Helstone, Camelford, was diagnosed with a large brain tumour a year ago which thankfully proved to be benign and was removed. However it has taken her 12 months to recover and to slowly get back to work. To show her gratitude to the neurology department at Derriford Hospital it was Diane’s intention to raise funds for it and to that end she wanted to walk the Ten Tors of Bodmin.
However as the time approached for her walk she really didn’t feel fit enough so her daughter, Caitlin, stepped in to kick start the fundraising on Friday 23 June by having her long hair cut off by Diane’s identical twin, Carolyn Edwards. The tresses were sent to the Princess Trust which provides real hair wigs for children suffering with hair loss. The sponsorship money is going to the neurology department and so far a whopping £1,074 has been raised.
Diane hopes to be fighting fit to tackle the Ten Tors next May!
